On the 1st February 2017, Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) received a Letter of Acceptance from Dornier Technology, Inc. for the MRO Hangar Expansion Project (Phase 1) at Clark International Airport, Philippines. Phase 1 involves the Hangar, annex building and associated apron, as well as the common plantrooms, and is to be based on an efficient arrangement of the spaces, to provide the necessary support facilities for DTI’s MRO operations

JET AVIATION, Singapore ground breaking ceremony launches new hanger project with Aircraft Support Industries (ASI)

On October 21st 2016, Jet Aviation held a Ground Breaking Ceremony to launch its third new Hangar project and Ancillary works that was awarded to Aircraft Support Industries in September 2016. The project will add 3,850 square meters of Hangar space, 315 square meters of storage space and 380 square meters to the Interior Shop as well as additional space for equipment to be constructed at the Seletar Airport in Singapore.

ASI exhibits at the Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific Exhibition, Singapore 2016

Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) took part in the Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific Exhibition in Singapore on the 27-29th September 2016. This year, ASI’s booth was centrally located in the Singapore Pavilion and attracted considerable attention. MRO Asia is an open platform for Aircraft Support Industries to network and develop relationships with other industry leaders. The show focuses on the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul sector and is the go to show for the Asia Pacific region. Post show reports from the organisers indicate a 20% increase in visitors over the previous year with a strong showing from India, America and Japan.

Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) Receives a Letter Of Award from Jet Aviation, Singapore

On the 19th September 2016, Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd signed a letter of award with ASI for the design and build of their new hangar plus ancillary works to the existing facility. The contract value for the works is SGD$9.5 million and due for completion in November 2017. An additional 4,000m2 of hangar space will be added, a new GSE building and reconfiguration of the existing workshops.

ASI announces completion of the Maintenance Hangar for Nagaworld, Cambodia

ASI Project Manager Dave Thomson mentioned “For all those involved in this project I would like to thank you for your time and effort and we handover to NW knowing they are receiving a top class cost effective Hangar Project and one that everyone involved with will be proud of”.

The MRO Americas Airshow was an open platform for Aircraft Support Industries to network and develop relationships with other industry leaders. For 21 years the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and overhaul community has recognized MRO Americas as the industry’s premiere event.

Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) announces the completion of the Heavy Maintenance Hangar no. 2 for SIA Engineering Philippines (SIAEP)

In 2014 ASI successfully completed the Heavy Maintenance Hangar no. 2 for SIAEP. The 92m wide hangar is designed as the first half of a two bay heavy maintenance facility with the side columns, complete with truss connections and foundations, capable of supporting a second bay. The hangar services wide-body aircraft including the capability to accommodate an A380. It is set to be operational in June 2015.

In early 2015, Aircraft Support Industries and their Joint Venture Partner in China, Baotong Door Company completed a Combination Tail Dock System for Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Limited (GAMECO), China. The Dock System follows the successful completion of 2 Narrow-Body and 1 Wide-Body Tail docks for GAMECO in 2013. The new dock is designed to service the A380, B747, A330 and the B777 as primary aircraft. It will also enable the docking of secondary aircraft, including the B787, within.

Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) announces the completion of the FBO & Jet Maintenance Hangar for Jet Aviation (JA), Singapore

In 2014 Aircraft Support Industries completed the new FBO and Jet Maintenance Hangar for the Client Jet Aviation, Singapore located at Seletar Airport. Unique to the new facility is its clever integration with JA’s existing hangar – a simple portal frame building estimated to have been built some 50 years ago which was in use by JA for their core maintenance operations. Through careful planning by ASI the operation within the existing hangar went largely uninterrupted during the construction phase. The new 24m-high Hangar has direct access to the tarmac and better accommodates aircraft such as the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) and permit up to five Gulfstream G650 or five Bombardier Global Express 7000 aircraft.

On the 27th August 2014, Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) received a Letter of Acceptance from Nagaworld Cambodia to furnish them with the Design for their Business Jet - Fixed Base of Operations (FBO), and Light Maintenance Hangar complex, to be constructed at Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH), Cambodia. ASI has been contracted by Nagaworld Cambodia to design and construct a comprehensive FBO/Hangar which will comply with international and local building codes, and further meet their unique operational business model.

On Monday 27th January 2014, ASI successfully lifted the main roof of Hangar 2 from ground level to its final position. The hangar is situated at Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, better known as the former Clark Air Base, in Angeles. The hangar is designed as the first half of a two-bay heavy-maintenance facility, with the two side columns closest to the camera in the view below, complete with truss connections and foundations, capable of supporting a second bay. The hangar will service wide-body aircraft, including the capability to accommodate an A380.

Aircraft Support Industries announces the Roof Lift for Jet Aviation, Singapore

On the 27th December 2013 the Jet Aviation hangar roof was stress-erected into final position after some weeks of being assembled. The hangar structure was challenging due to the layout of the site. The hangar was assembled on temporary towers in a partly erected position to reduce the length of the “skid beams” along which the sliding legs of the hangar travel as it is stressed. The stressing was done using traditional methods; five jacks each with manual operators on scaffold platforms.

Inauguration Vietnam Airlines Hangar at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City

On the 3rd August 2013 the Inauguration Ceremony of Vietnam Airlines fifth hangar at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City took place. Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) was solely responsible for the design and project management of the
1 Bay B777-200 Maintenance Hangar. ASI also designed and supplied the Docking System. In conjunction with LILAMA Corporation, ASI constructed and commissioned the facility.

On 26 April, 2013, GAMECO issued a Letter of Award to Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) / Shenyang Baotong Door Co. Ltd (BT) for the design, build and installation of three Tail dock, being 1 x Wide Body and 2 x Narrow Body tail docks. The two companies had previously agreed to cooperate in the bidding of major docking projects in China and ASI hope to extend this relationship to include provision of products by BT on other ASI docking projects.

Jet Aviation Ground Breaking Ceremony

On Friday 18th January 2013 Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd held the Ground Breaking Ceremony to mark the beginning of the hangar expansion that will be taking place at Seletar in Singapore.
